about the artist

kathy williams has been painting in oils since 2006.  she is self taught.  her paintings of rural landscapes, seascapes and still lifes are recognizably simple, direct, and vibrant in color.

her photo realistic style is influenced by the shaker philosophy of simplicity in design in combination with the exaggeration of light and shadow.

it’s the juxtaposition of nature’s landscape and man-made structures  that makes kathy’s paintings so unique.
